Extreme Exposure Adventure Center offers guided tours of Florida’s most beautiful natural environments. In addition to our range of scheduled adventures we are happy to build an excursion to suit your needs. Here are some of our favorite adventures:

Paddling Tours


Our range of guided tours include a "Paddling Quick Course" with proper paddling techniques and safety measures such as canoe-over-canoe rescue.

Half Day Tours:

Pick your own adventure or consider one of our favorites:

Santa Fe River: Enjoy a scenic 6 mile paddle and see the entire Santa Fe River reemerge from underground! Along the way we often spot bald eagles, alligators, turtles, white-tailed deer, and great blue herons, to name a few.

Ichetucknee River: A slightly shorter paddle allows you to enjoy a relaxing drift along the Ichetucknee River while experiencing this unspoiled natural setting. Cool, crystal-clear water and undeveloped wilderness make this river a truly special place.

Full Day Tours:

Spring Tour: Enjoy an amazing 15 mile river paddle with unique access to a range of world-famous, crystal clear springs, including Ginnie, Blue and Poe Spring. These remarkable springs form an integral part of the world’s supply of fresh water. In fact, ground water conveyed through a network of cave passages provides the majority of our planet’s fresh water supply. Learn more about these vital resources while enjoying one of our area’s greatest natural treasures.

River Tour: Rivers have played an interesting role in the formation of our society and remain an integral part of our local ecosystem. Yet, their appearance can be as different as the way they integrate into our natural surroundings. Take this opportunity to experience the unique differences between the dark water of the Santa Fe and the crystal clear water of the Ichetucknee. Your knowledgeable guide will provide unique insight into the history and mechanics behind these two great rivers.

Rainbow River: A great trip for groups, this tour of Rainbow River takes you from the upper section of the river all the way to its confluence with the Withlacoochie. There are even a few spots to hop out and swim along the way!



Hiking/Walking Tours


Half Day Tours:

O’leno State Park: One of Florida’s oldest state parks, O’leno is located on the banks of the Santa Fe River. As the river courses through the park, it disappears underground and reemerges over three miles away in the River Rise State Preserve. Join us on a hike where you will see the mighty Santa Fe plunge underground, explore pine and hardwood hammocks (we often see white-tailed deer), see the suspension bridge built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, and learn about the quirky history of this State Park that started off as a gambling town!

Ichetucknee State Park: Declared a National Natural Landmark in 1972, the Ichetuknee is a crystal-clear river that feeds into the Santa Fe. On this half day hike you will meander along the river where you might see river otters and great blue herons, and explore a longleaf pine habitat in search of the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker as well as gopher tortoise and indigo snake.

Full Day Tours:

O’leno State Park: Walk the length of the natural bridge to see the Santa Fe disappear, and reappear 3 miles later! On this historical walk you will retrace the steps of Spanish explorers, Native Americans and settlers as the Santa Fe rushes through subterranean limestone caves beneath your feet!

Want to have a full day adventure, but don’t want to walk so far? Try combining a scenic paddle down the Santa Fe to the River Sink, followed by the half day hike described above!


Skin Diving Tours


Half Day Tour:

Ichetucknee River: Snorkel the pristine, crystal-clear Ichetucknee River. Here you can see otters, cormorants, turtles and a myriad of other aquatic life. All skin diving tours are supervised by certified skin diving instructors to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

Full Day Tour:

Rainbow River: This full day adventure involves an educational boat ride up the Rainbow River followed by a guided snorkel tour back downriver. Rainbow River is designated as an "Outstanding Florida Waterway" and is home to such sub-aquatic features as "Garfish Hole", "Popcorn Springs", and "The Blowhole". If you search carefully, you might even find some ancient shark teeth!
